Delete your account

You can permanently delete your MedTranscribeAi account from within the mobile app on iOS or Android. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

⚠️ Before you begin

  • Make sure you’re logged in on your device.
  • Export any notes, transcripts, or receipts you want to keep.
  • If you have an App Store or Google Play subscription, delete does not cancel billing. Cancel the subscription separately via Apple/Google to stop future charges.

Steps (iOS & Android)

  1. Open the MedTranscribeAi app and log in on your device.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top‑left of the screen to open the navigation drawer.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account

    It appears just above the Logout button.

  4. When the confirmation modal appears with “Delete Account?”, tap Delete (red button).

    You can tap Cancel to back out without deleting.

That’s it — your account will be deleted and you’ll be logged out of the app.

What happens next?

  • Your MedTranscribeAi account and associated in‑app data are scheduled for deletion.
  • This does not cancel Apple/Google subscriptions — cancel those in the App Store / Google Play.
  • Deleting your app account does not alter records in external systems (e.g., your EHR); those systems keep their own records.
  • We may retain minimal records as required by law or for security, in accordance with our privacy policy.

Can’t access the app?

If you no longer have access to your device or the app, request deletion via our support channel:

  • Email: replace with your team’s support email
  • Issue tracker: replace with your public support link or GitHub Issues URL

Please include your name, the email associated with your account, and a brief note that you’re requesting account deletion.

Cancel your subscription (Apple / Google)

Deleting your MedTranscribeAi account does not cancel the store subscription.

  • Apple App Store: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → select MedTranscribeAi → Cancel
  • Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select MedTranscribeAi → Cancel

FAQ

Will deleting my account remove all my transcripts and notes?
Yes, your in‑app data is removed as part of the deletion process (subject to any legal retention requirements in our privacy policy).

Can I undo this?
No. Account deletion is permanent.

Do I get a refund after deleting?
Refunds for Apple/Google subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google per their policies. Deleting your account does not automatically generate a refund.
